Jennifer and Natalie Campbell are the Playboy Playmates for December 2008. The identical twins from Colorado who delight in their differences despite their obvious similarities. Both played volleyball in high school, both attended the University of Northern Colorado, both have dogs, and they all live together. Jennifer, the older twin feels she is more of a girlie-girl and more studious, notwithstanding her racy tattoo — a butterfly on her lower stomach. Natalie describes herself as more of an athletic tomboy who enjoys boating, camping and fishing. “Our parents were really good about letting us be individuals,” says Jennifer. “We each definitely have our own personality.”
The two Misses December were discovered by a Playboy scout when Natalie entered a swimsuit contest at a Hooters. The twins moved to southern California last May to pursue the opportunity. “We miss home, but we love it here,” says Natalie. The sisters plan on returning to Colorado to spend Christmas with their parents and older brother, all of whom support their decision to pose for Playboy.
Natalie and Jennifer say they’ve never gone for the same guy at the same time, but they both have a thing for men in uniform. “Whether it be policemen, firemen or military men — it’s all so sexy,” says Natalie. Jennifer, who has been in only two serious relationships, adds, “I’ve always been the type of person who, if I’m going to be intimate, has to be in love.”
The Campbell twins want to continue modeling before returning to finish school. Jennifer desires a degree in psychology and wants to work with kids; Natalie loves animals and is eyeing a career in the veterinary field. Though they’ve enjoyed their party days, they both say they’ve settled down a bit. “Our close friends would say we’re double the trouble,” says Jennifer. “I think we’re double the fun.”

Although the actress is excited to discuss her forthcoming movie roles, she first recalls how she’s come such a long way from her home in San Antonio. “My family was so poor that my sisters and I wore boys’ hand-me-downs,” she says. “My mother and father divorced when I was young. My father lives in Spain, along with most of my extended family. We came from nothing, so I’m grateful now when I look at everything I have.” A self-described bookworm in high school who “tried to rebel and be cool,” Pilar couldn’t deceive her mother without feeling guilty. “I’d sneak out of the house at night, but I would leave a note for my mom so she could contact me. While Pilar says she used to be anti-nudity, she changed her mind when Playboy made her an offer. “I figured I should do nudity the right way, not in some cheesy, raunchy film,” she says. Next up? Roles in Hollywood P.I. and opposite Gary Busey in the cage-fighting flick No Rules. “I have a bitch-fighting scene in No Rules,” she says. “In real life I talk trash, but I never bite. I wouldn’t know how. I’d probably start crying.”

Brittney grew up in Las Vegas, another place where almost anything goes. “I had a high school sweetheart,” she remembers. “His mother was so into the UFC she would throw pillows at the TV set. When I was 18 I worked out front at UFC events, handing out free beer. And now I’m actually in the Octagon, which is crazy.” After high school graduation, Brittney got a job as a magician’s assistant and danced in a burlesque show at the Flamingo Hotel. What she learned: “The show must always go on. Even if you don’t have your outfit on, the music is still starting at 10.” What she did when not pursuing enlightenment through burlesque: “You’d get off at 11, go out for drinks, party till the sun came up and then do it again.”
“I’m no longer just this Vegas showgirl,” she says. “I want to be an artist, and I’m really lucky to have a passion like that.” Brittney taught herself to paint by watching YouTube videos and built up enough of a portfolio to get into UCLA. “I’ve been learning about composition and colors and negative space,” she reports. She knows that someday she’ll probably have to broaden her subject matter beyond rock stars. “But I love painting those pictures, and people love putting them on their walls,” she says. “Would you rather have a portrait of somebody you don’t know or a portrait of Jimi Hendrix?”
Art school is what inspired Brittney to pose for playboy. “I take figure-drawing classes all day, every day,” she explains. “Ninety-nine percent of the time there’s a nude model in your class—it’s beautiful, and it’s art. I’m really good at drawing nudes. I think women’s bodies are fantastic, and I work my ass off for my body. I have such appreciation for being in Playboy—it’s like being a model for an elite figure-drawing class.” Who knew school could be so much fun?
