Playboy: Tell us about your painting business.
Angela:… My work involves a wide variety of art. I do anything from interior faux finishes and murals, to oil paintings and something I call 3-D Sand & Sea Art. The latter is a recent breakthrough of mine. I formulated a unique compound to apply sand and sea decor to canvas.

Playboy: We hear you recently combined your love of art and music.
Angela: Yes, I painted portraits of Nickelback, Kid Rock and Chris Daughtry.

Playboy: How did that project come about?
Angela: Since it’s a general practice of mine to crank up the stereo while I paint, I decided, Why not paint my favorite musicians as I listen to their music? I had tickets to each of their concerts and was able to complete the paintings in time to present to each artist personally. Chris Daughtry’s was a bit damp when he signed it and some paint got on his leather jacket, but he was a good sport!

Playboy: What’s more of a turn-on for you: creating a painting or selling one?
Angela: Creating one, most definitely! Any artist of any kind will tell you there’s a certain bonding that takes place when you totally pour yourself and all your emotions into creating something. When it’s over, it’s hard to part ways, but selling a piece has its own pleasure. It’s priceless to watch someone look at your work and capture the whole feeling of it!

Playboy: We’d be remiss if we didn’t ask: Do you ever paint naked?
Angela: Somehow I knew that question was coming! Since I like to paint outdoors a lot, it’s not a common practice. But I do recall an occasion when my guy dared me to paint something for him without using brushes or my hands. I love dares, so I painted the whole thing using only my nipples! It turned out amazingly nice!

Playboy: We love creative women.
Angela: I’ve always loved art but it’s become my true passion in recent years. My ultimate goal is to live up to the saying, “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life!”

Kelly Monaco was one of my favourite Playboy Playmates back in April 1997. Today Playboy added some brand new pictures to her pictorial!

Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, with their resort hotels, have the reputation of being a honeymoon paradise. Growing up there, Kelly Monaco knew another part of paradise — the great outdoors. With a home on the boundary of a state game preserve, Kelly Monaco and her four sisters put in plenty of time hiking, climbing trees, fishing, camping and swimming. They were taught to skate by their mother, a former Olympic hopeful and figure-skating instructor. They even helped their father, an avid hunter, build tree stands. As a result, Miss April developed into tip-top shape. And when Kelly Monaco did resort to working at a resort, she obtained a job as a lifeguard.
Her duties involved more than merely working on her tan, though she also did an excellent job of that. “One night, I had to make three saves,” she says. “There’s this adrenaline rush that I can’t explain.” One of her rescues was a boy who had lost consciousness. “It’s an amazing feeling to know that if you hadn’t been there, this person may have died,” she says. And what an amazing feeling it must have been for the kid to wake up and find Kelly Monaco reviving him. Perhaps he thought he had died and gone to heaven.

A middle child, Kelly says she enjoys being the center of attention. “I’ve always wanted to be a star. Growing up, I wanted to be an actress.” With four years of high school drama classes and five years of lifeguarding under her bikini, might Kelly be destined to follow the path of Playmate predecessors Pamela Anderson and Donna D’Errico to the set of Baywatch? Kelly would like that very much. But if it doesn’t happen, we’re sure she’ll find a way to make waves on her own.
